What is wrong with our people? My heart bleeds as I write this report, and at the same time, I ask myself these questions, what is becoming of this country Nigeria? When will jungle justice end in Nigeria? And when will the Nigerian Police live up to expectations?
7-year Old Boy Murdered In Badagry Lagos For Attempting to Steal Garri
7-year Old Boy Murdered In Badagry Lagos For Stealing Garri

We thought the most famous jungle justice act ever in Nigeria till date was the killing of the four University students from the University of Port Harcourt in Aluu, not until 2 days ago when a 7-year old boy was lynched in Badagry, Lagos state Nigeria, for attempting to steal Garri (Processed Cassava Flour) because he was hungry. He was burnt to death with a tire for a crime he attempted but never committed.

This is highly inhuman and these perpetrators should be brought to justice.  At a time like this one, even adults find life difficult how much more a homeless and hungry kid.
Setting an hungry child ablaze, for attempting to steal garri because he was hungry and needed to eat. A little hungry child of 7-years old, he did not try to steal Money, Burger, or any of these expensive foods out there, but Garri of all foods. Yet he was murdered in cold blood.

Main while, it is still not clear to us why the Police did not respond to this incident. Must jungle justice continue to be? This boy was only a child, a child that was hungry and needed something to eat; he was beaten beyond recognition and later set ablaze. Why we have left roaming about the shores of this country, politicians who have stole billions and trillions of public funds in the same country and nothing is happening to them. Funds that are meant to cater for children like this one.

These acts most not continue and those behind this act must be apprehended and dealt with according to the law. To every parent who stood there to watch this happen without trying to stop this inhuman act, you are not worthy to be called a parent.
